O-Shot® (Orgasm Shot®) is a very delicate painless procedure which consists of using the plasma from the patient’s blood (see Platelet Rich Plasma—PRP—technology) and to inject it to rejuvenate the vulva-vaginal area. This technology is recommended to help women suffering from dyspareunia (painful intercourse), dryness, vaginismus (painful spasm of vagina interfering with sexual relations), urinary leakage, but may also remedy sexual excitement disorders, the decline in sexual desire as well as trouble reaching female orgasm.
PRP (also known under the name Vampire Facelift) has been used for years to revitalize the face by stimulating the cells responsible for the production of collagen and elastin. When it is injected, stem cells multiply and produce new tissues. Therefore, by using the same technology, the O-Shot® treatment works with the PRP by reactivating stem cells and producing healthy vaginal tissues.
We proceed in the same manner as with a blood test, meaning that the blood is drawn from the arm. Then, by a special centrifugation process, the PRP is isolated. At that point, it is injected by fine needles into the genital area to be treated, to which a topical analgesic has been applied prior to the treatment. The treated cells regain their elasticity and the damaged tissues are repaired. The results? Better bladder control and improved sexual functions, such as greater orgasms and better lubrication. Sexual pleasure is improved, as are sensations.
Process of the treatment
- Assessment of the patient and his/her health status
During your first visit, you will discuss with the doctor the disease you want to treat. The doctor will also provide a diagnosis of your skin and vaginal tissues.
- Process of first treatment
Blood will be drawn; it will be centrifuged to obtain the PRP. The plasma will then be injected into the area to be treated (vaginal and external genital organs, as well as to the G-spot and to the Skene’s glands).
- Process of following treatments
The number of treatments will be established according to the area to be treated; however, a series of 2 treatments every 4 weeks is recommended.
During your final treatment, we will schedule an appointment to evaluate the result and to schedule a maintenance treatment, every 12 months.
Is the O-Shot® treatment painful?
Other than some slight pressure that can be felt during the treatment, it is virtually painless. A topical analgesic is applied to the treated area.
What results can I expect?
Most women who received this treatment will confirm that they have experienced an improvement in regard to dryness and lubrication, which decreases pain during intercourse, increasing sexual desire and pleasure. This treatment is also used to help treat urinary leakage.
Is the O-Shot® treatment effective?
Since your own blood is used in the PRP technology, the results will vary according to your age and health status.
