The single-phase gel Stylage® is obtained by the patented IPN-Like technology (an innovative “interconnected” hyaluronic acid process) and a natural antioxidant (mannitol). The IPN-Like technology allows to optimize the density of the chemical bonds, providing a safe product and long-lasting results. The mannitol—a substance naturally present in some fruits, such as cherries, raspberries, etc.—acts against the free radicals within the skin, therefore allowing the effects of the hyaluronic acid to last longer.
Like every other filling agent, Stylage® is mainly used to reduce the visible effects of ageing, meaning to fill in or soften wrinkles, correct the lips, restore volume loss, rehydrate the skin, shape the checks, rejuvenate the hands, décolleté and neckline. The results are more natural because of the innovative smoothing effect, specific to the IPN-Like technology. The effects generally last 12 months, depending on the skin type, the injected area, the lifestyle of the patient, etc.
Because of its viscoelasticity, Stylage® provides an excellent filling capacity; the elasticity of the skin is optimized, allowing for a better response to the toning and reshaping treatments, even on the most delicate areas like the nose, the earlobes, the temples and the hands. In addition, its superior biocompatibility ability allows it to integrate quickly into the tissue. Over time, it is eliminated by the body itself.
Process of the treatment
- Assessment of the patient and his/her health status
You must express your expectations to your doctor, who will then be able to establish the required quantity of the filling agent necessary for the treatment. Other than costs, the frequency and the effects, you will also discuss which products to use in your daily beauty routine and the follow-up process. Do not be surprised: your doctor will also inquire about your health status during your first visit. If not the same day, you will schedule an appointment for the first treatment.
To properly establish the areas you wish to treat, we will take a few pictures. They will serve as a visual support, but also as a comparison tool of the before and after evolution of your treatments.
- Procedure plan
Your age, the quality of your skin and genetics are some of the factors your doctor will evaluate to provide you with the most natural rejuvenating effects. Your doctor may suggest balancing the volume of the face with a combination of treatments, meaning by using filling agents and a neuromodulator (Botox Cosmetic® or Dysport®).
- Stylage® injections
The doctor will inject the product in the thickness of the skin or subcutaneous space with fine needles or cannulas. Your treatment will take a maximum of 60 minutes, following which you may return to your regular activities. The day of, avoid wearing makeup, and for 2 weeks, avoid exposure to the sun or to the cold, saunas, spas and steam baths.
